Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the game. My opinion may or may not differ from yours, but I hope I can help...
I have more to say, but not enough time to type it all before I work. I enjoy playing smaller private servers because I grow tired of busier games but I also like to help try make those smaller games bigger. Before you believe that I am badmouthing your work, know that I have owned plenty of servers and have enough experience with both the server, graphics, websites and balanced that I thought I could give some advice.
- Middle-mouse wheel button to move: Currently, the middle-mouse button just clicks as it did in the older versions of the game. It is a very easy thing to implement (I have done it to my own personal clients). It would just make the camera feel less clunky and easy to move.
- Iron out minor kinks to make the game feel better: Things like the level not showing up on some skill level-up notifications are just a nuisance. Rock crabs and other NPCs not having the correct death animations (easy fix as well, just get a 317 animation dump or NPC dump and add them to the correct monsters).
- Redo the layout of teleports, quest log, NPCs, objects, etc.: The current layout of the game is cluttered and clunky. Private servers are fun, but people don't like private servers that are too... unorganized. Yes, some unorganized things make their way into games but most of the time the content is balanced to not make people feel clutter in the game.
- Add more custom graphics to the website: The current website is nice, but it seems more like basic HTML and CSS. Why not use images (Photoshop of course, don't just use random google images) to make the website draw people's attention. The basic colors and CSS button highlights just doesn't seem like enough.
- Crafting is too expensive: Crafting should be a skill that you make money from but you lose a large sum of money by crafting anything...
